England - Yorkshire Dales to Lake District

This is known as Abbot Huby's Tower. The bell tower built by Abbot Marmaduke Huby who died in 1526 before the abbey fell into ruins. The estate was finally sold to Sir Stephen Proctor who built Fountains Hall in 1611. It was a typical Elizabethan mansion that was built partly with stone from the Abbey ruins.
